‘Come! Follow Me' Communication in the Porvoo Churches

On behalf of the Church in Wales, The Church of Ireland and the Scottish Episcopal Church, you are most warmly welcomed to the Porvoo Communicators' conference to be held in Cardiff between the 16th and 21st March 2006.

Venue

The meeting will be accommodated at:

The Urdd Centre,
The Wales Millennium Centre
Plas Bute
Cardiff CF10 5AL.
Telephone: +44 29 2063 5678

The venue is at the south end of the Wales millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay . Its entrance is opposite the National Assembly for Wales debating chamber. Further location details accessible at http://www.wmc.org.uk/index.cfm?alias=getting

Registration

A Registration can be downloaded by clicking on this link (MS Word format - please contact the webmaster if you require a different format). We would appreciate the quick return of this form so that we can send you a background pack and agenda. The closing date for applications is Friday 17 th February 2006 and places are truly limited, so please respond as quickly as possible. Applications received after this date may be considered but it is very much a case of first come first served.

Travel

We are happy to arrange to meet flights from Cardiff-Wales International Airport and to meet rail travel to Cardiff Central Station. (If you plan to fly to one of the London airports, it is relatively easy to travel by rail from London Paddington or Reading to Cardiff .)

Climate

Our marine climate is unpredictable! It is likely to be cool spring weather (probably not very cold but certainly not very warm, either).

Dress

Generally informal though if you want to bring your glad rags, feel free to do so!

Invoice

The invoice will be sent to your national church immediately after the meeting via the Porvoo Contact Group member and will include accommodation and a contribution towards shared costs.

Delegates are asked to pay for their drinks, though on some occasions drinks may be provided with meals.

On a Journey

Tom Ehrich – one of the speakers at the conference, has generously offered a 3-month subscription to On a Journey – his daily e-mailed meditation – to all Porvoo Communicators' Conference delegates. Unless you indicate otherwise this will be set-up as soon as your registration form is received.

E-mail

E-mail will be the main means of communication with you in the period leading up to the conference, so please ensure that your e-mail address is noted.
